Introduction
Power and privilege is a two-way street: power can run both ways, depending on the circumstances or context. For example, a female Latina could be in a position of privilege and power in one environment and in a position of discrimination and prejudice in another environment. I know this from experience because I have been in both types of situations before in my life. What is interesting about being a Latina in America is that while most whites are not going to recognize you as one of their own, they also are not going to lump you in with other ethnic groups, such as blacks or Asians. To illustrate this, Zamudio and Lichter (2008) showed that hotel managers tend to prefer to hire Latinas over blacks in the hotel industry for whatever prejudicial reasons that managers have. Abstract
In West Massachusetts United States, the most common health disorders are anxiety and depression. These health disorders are prevalent in elderly immigrant women aged between 50 and 79 years (Agbemenu, 2016). Despite a variety of efficacious interventions for depression and anxiety, elderly immigrant women experience mental health care disparities in their access to mental health services and the quality of treatment they receive (Sánchez et al., 2014). Researchers have determined that African American heterogeneity influences access to depression and anxiety treatment. In addition, African Americans are becoming an increasingly visible minority within the United States, especially in West Massachusetts. ...Latino Patient safety is one of the key aspects of healthcare delivery and a critical component in determining the quality of healthcare services. Patient safety is influenced by many factors including medication safety, which is identified as one of the most common type of errors in nursing practice (Getnet & Bifftu, 2017). Given the increased focus on patient safety and better outcomes, nurses face the need to enhance medication safety and nursing care. However, the healthcare environment is characterized by numerous interruptions that could compromise medication safety and nursing care. Nurses experience different kinds of interruptions in their work including during medication administration. Therefore, reduction of interruptions in nursing work is vital to improve medication safety and nursing care. This quality improvement project demonstrates how this can be achieved by using Plan-Do-Study-Act methodology.

The juvenile justice system has a unique position in the American justice system as a whole. Its function should be to rehabilitate the juvenile offender before he or she becomes an adult criminal. Juvenile records are expunged when the individual becomes an adult. There are, of course, some exceptions of when a juvenile who commits a very serious crime and is charged as an adult, but for the most part, in theory, juvenile criminals have a unique status. Juvenile offenders also are unique in that because of their age they may be guilty of particular crimes that only juveniles can be convicted of, in the form of so-called status offenses. Status offenses such as truancy, violating age-specific curfews, running away, drinking alcohol, are crimes which would not be considered crimes at all if committed by adults (“Status Offenses,” 2020).
